Not a bad name, but reminds me of "viatic". And the meaning of Beatrice I keep more in mind is that of "she who brings beatitude", as explicated in Dante's "Vita Nova".
Incidentally, it's a bit rich to imply people here are narrow-minded, coming from someone who seems to think his own taste is some kind of absolute parameter, that if he likes a name then it's universally sublime and that if it doesn't strike his fancy then it's automatically horrid.
