Normally, I'm all for not mangling the original spelling of a name, but I also find it funny when people get all worked up and are all like: "No!
Kiaran is apalling! The original, pure Celtic Ciaràn must be used!" considering Anglicized spellings are more or legitimized and that it's a bit silly to condemn your kids to have their names mispelled and mispronounced all their lives, for the sake of respect of Celtic languages.
