[Opinions] Softer more feminine names for twin boys
I know I'll probably get some flack for this but I'm looking for some softer, even a little feminine names for twin boys due in March. I'd like them to match/rhyme. I love old fashioned boys name that have (sadly) become most girls - like Beverly, Shirley, etc.. Anyone have any suggestions?

Alexis and Avery
Ashley and Morgan (I know girl twins named this and I always liked both names better on boys)
Naoise and Noah
Kevin and Kelly
Cory and Cody (A bit too matchy?)
Marion and Maxim
Aubrey and Arden
Dana and Daniel

Hmm well I'd maybe use traditional masculine names with softer nns, so that they can choose when they get older which they want to use. For example, I love Allan nn Allie, but if I called my son that and he wanted to go by Allan, that'd be ok by me. You could try Bevan for a more masuculine alternative to Beverly (and if you wanted to be cringe-worthingly rhymey you could have Bevan and Devon...) other suggestions of names I find feminine are below. Personally I hate matching/rhyming names on twins, but have tried to group them together for youAshley, Aidan or Adrian nn Adie (however you want to spell it), Adriel, Ambrose, Ali as a nn for Alistair, AinsleyBrodieCarey, Cassidy, Cody, Casey (rhymes with Dacey, Tracy, Macy, etc)Darcy, Dorian (goes well with Vivian or Fabian), Derry Elisha, Ellery, Emery (this means "joint ruler", possibly fitting for a twin!)Finley, FlaviusHilary, Haley, Halley (rhymes with Allie)IsidoreJayKeeley, Kelly, Kelsey

Two boy's names I really like that are more common on girls now are Morgan and Mackenzie. I think those would be nice names for twin brothers.

I think Levi would be nice, I think it has a soft sound to it, but is not at risk for being seen as girlish. Some other names I see as soft sounding:
Haven
Feivel
Flavio
Florian
Julien
Valentine
Sullivan
Azariah
Sasha / Sacha
Luca
Micah
Fabian / Fabien
Aurelien
Yves
Denis
Ilya
Vanyasome sets:
Levi & Haven
Sasha & Luca
Sullivan & Valentine
Micah & Denis
Fabian & Julien

I generally like names to be clearly gendered, anyway, since it's acceptable for girls to have masculine names nowadays, why not the other way round? I think the problem with Beverley and Shirley, however, is that they're pratically perceived as being only girls names. I think something like Ashley and Lindsay, which are still used for boys in the UK might work better. I also like Kim for a boy. However, I must say I really dislike matching names for twins. Everybody now says it's important for twins, esp. identical, to be as individual as possible, not to be dressed alike, etc., so I think that includes having dissimilar names. But I like the idea of a theme that's not obvious, such as a similar meaning.

Esmund. Like Edmund, but softer. But don't pair it with Edmund, that's TOO matchy! If you must be matchy, how about Esmund and Elliot?

I'm going to be lazy and put only the first two that came to mind: Milo and Sasha.

If you must use matchy names (please don't) Ashley and Aubrey, Avery and Aubrey, Morgan and Jordan, or Morgan and Madison could work. Taking a name that's currently popular for one sex and using it for the other is really not my style at all. The best combo I can make is Darcy and Shannon.

Congratulations!I love to see masculine names hold the line against encroachment by parents of little girls. :-) Just please don't make the names too twinny / matchy. It will be difficult enough for boys to have names that are going to the feminine side. Making them even "cuter" by rhyming them is really not fair. Subtle themes are fine. It's the obvious ones I can't take.Aubrey, Sean / Shane, Rowan, Avery, Francis, Remy ("RAY-mee"), Adrian, Loren, Laurie (as a nn for Laurence), Jordon, Morgan, Ashley, Cary, Aidan, Dorian, Jules, Jesse, Asa, Greer, Adair, Rory, Sidney, Alexis, Carsten, Emeric, Gervase, Germain, Kitt (as a nn for Christopher), Jude, Terry (as a nn for Terence), Robin (as a nn for Robert), Jonty (as a nn for Jonathan), Shannon, Jamie (as a nn for James). Good luck and please be sure to let us know how your search progresses. Also, birth announcements are always welcome. :-)

Vivian!Vivian is one of my favourites, so I can definitely empathise with you about loving "feminine" names for boys. Vivian and Dorian, perhaps? For a set, it's a bit precious (and very Oscar Wilde), but somehow they seem to go well together.Percy and Darcy also spring to mind as a matching/rhyming set.More Suggestions:
Selby
Ashley
Sidney
Whitney
Shelley
Tracy
Remy
Quincy
Quinn
Leslie
Laurence "Laurie"
Lindsay
Ninian
Lucian
Marian
Caspian
Florian
Aubrey
Sebastian
Carroll
Chauncey
Hayden
Blair
Adair
Blythe
Everett
Alistair
Sheridan
Meredith

Well, I'm really not a fan of matchy twin names. Why do their names need to match? Everyone expects twins to be a box set so much of the time, it seems unfair to give them the disadvantage of also sounding like a box set. That said, soft/feminine/gone to the girls names? Love them! Here are some of my favourites:
Ashley
Robin - Prefer as a nickname, okay on its own.
Morgan
Paris
Augustine
Hilary
Claude
Francis
Edmund
Glenn
Jean - zhaWn, not jeen.
Irving
Graham
Simon

Names off my list that seem softest:
Asher
Cedric
Cecil
Jonah
Solomon
Vincent
WalterSoft names for boys are better than masculine names for girls, imo. What you'll probably get most flack about is wanting matchy twin names.... :/
