I prefer Abram. Abraham seems too old to me. Abram has more energy.

Abraham sounds more distinguished to me. I'm not that familiar with Abram, which is perhaps why it sounds like someone too lazy to enunciate "Abraham" properly.

Abram looks a bit incomplete. Abraham can look heavy for a baby. I see both povs...

I don't really like any of them although Abram has grown on me. Abraham is far too religious for me to ever use and I think that's the biggest problem I have with Abraham plus I've never met anyone named Abraham and I know that if I did I would immediately think it was a very religious family.

I'm not crazy about either, of course they're names with history and meaning, but a bit cumbersome. I slightly prefer Abram, it's a bit more "relaxed", Abraham makes me think of a patriarch, of Lincoln or of a Orthodox Jewish guy.

I like both names. I prefer Abraham more.

To me Abram looks a but strange to me, I've never seen it used. I prefer Abraham becaus it looks more correct. I think both have baggage, because I still see Abram as a form of Abraham. I prefer just Bram over the both of them. I've known a few people who were called Bram (not Abraham "Bram") and I like that a lot better. It sound way less 'heavy' than Abraham.

I much prefer Abraham, it sounds a lot stronger to me. I like the Biblical connection to Abraham.

I prefer Abram. I've always preferred shorter male names, so Abram is more to my taste. Plus I love the sound and look of it. Abraham... not so much, lol.

It's more classy, simple and elegant. I love it.

Edit to add this: It doesn't matter if you are choosing Abram or Abraham. Abram will still makes alot of people to think of Abraham and the bible.

I think I see *you*, though, as more of an Abram type. Though I think it sounds a little too much like Miriam, if that's still an option of yours.

(For what it's worth, though, the differences between them seem kind of minimal when you step back and look at 'em side-by-side. From that perspective, they really just look and feel like the exact same name to me.)

I love them both, but prefer Abram over Abraham (and Bram over either).

Abraham does have a lot of baggage. I can't really decide though, especially because I truly prefer Avram. Is Abraham "Abram" an option? I think today I prefe Abram.

I just read what you said in response to Sabrina and it is nearly exactly what I was going to write word for word. Abraham has a lot more baggage that Abram and it also seems rather clunky and heavy. Its a lot of name to live up to IMO. Abram is strong, still has some great history to it, has thousands of years of usage behind it but is uncommon enough that it sounds fresh. And as a side note, I do hope any Abram would become a Bram...it is such a fabulous nn

What about Abraham "Abram"?

I really like Abram (prefer nn Abe to Bram, or actually no nn at all). Abraham is just too much--too Abraham Lincoln or Biblical Abraham, so I think of beards. And ham. :b Abram's simple and clean (lol - you know what I mean) and handsome, also not trendy or overused but recognizable.

I think Abram is more out there then Abraham.
