When the triplets were 4 years old we were trying to adopt more children. They told us at the agency that it would be difficult to adopt more children. This made us decide to accept children that were more difficult to place. Now, four years later, we finally got to adopt. A single mother died, leaving her 3 children behind. She had stated in her will, that they should stay together. Oscar, the oldest, has severe emotional problems because his father used to abuse him. He has trouble going to sleep, and has bad dreams almoste very night. He can get very aggressive sometimes, but he almost never behaves badly on purpose. His little brother and sister were born about 4 months before their father died, so they never really suffered much from his behaviour. Lilac has asthma and we have to watch her constantly, because we need to give her her medicine whenever she has trouble breathing, which is quite often. Our doctor told us that it migth get better when she gets older, but he can't be sure. It might even get worse... Morris has epilepsy, but he doesn't have seizures often. They been with us for half a year now and it has only happened once so far. He's very sweet and easy going most of the time.
After we had them for 2 weeks I realised I had underestimated hte problems Oz had. Luckily Arthur hadn't done that, and he's a lot better at comforting and calming him than I am. Lilac also clearly prefers to go to him when she's distressed than to me. I'm bonding more to Morris. All 3 take up a lot of our time. Our triplets also demand constant asttention and it seems like Arthur and I just don't have enough time to give everyone the attention they need.
Two weeks ago we realised we did failed in our parenting. One day we woke up and found that Griffin was missing. He left a note that he had run away. We called the police, but they said that they couldn't do anything yet, because he hadn't been missing long enough. I drovwe around town trying to look for him and Arthur called everyone we knew to see if he might be there and ask them if they'd keep an eye out for him. That night a friend of us called telling us that Griffin was with him. He had came across him when he was in the next town. I went to pick him up and at first he refused to say anything. In the car he broke down, I pulled the car over to the side of the road and we talked there for over two hours. He said he fetl taht we didn't pay attention to him anymore and that we only used him to watch the other kids. He was also not happy at all that he had to share his room with Oscar now, because he has no space to himself anymore and Oscar keeps annoying him. He was happy when it was just the triplets and him. He said that everyone else still always talked about the triplets a lot and they got all the attention, but he still felt special because he was our only son and that had changed now.
Later I talked it over with Arthur and we decided to see if we could afford to move, to make sure he could have his own room and the other children would soon need more privacy as well anyway. We also sort of decided we wouldn't adopt any more children. It was difficult enough with 7 children and we were unlikely to be eligable for adoption anyway, because of the number of children we already have.

Note: we could have more children, if you want to keep giving one child per round, but if it would also be fine to keep this number of kids.
