I like both names but the ends kind of bother me.

I was almost named Kathleen NN Kitty :). I think Kitty makes a cute NN, but not a good given name. Dorothy is okay, but too dated imo.

I like Kitty because it was my great-grandmother's first name, and I think Dorothy is nice too :)

Kitty is adorable (more as a nn though) and Dorothy just makes me think of The Wizard of Oz. Actually, the more I think of the combo, the more it grows on me. It's cute.
