[Facts] origin of Maia, and Iona

as far as I know, the word maia designates in ancient greek the midwife
as for
Iona
it means dove in hebrew, which could be related to the name of Saint Colomban (coming from columba, the dove in latin) who christianized Scotalnd (or Eire ?)
