I love my German instructor's name. I just love it. She says it brih-GIT-uh instead of BRIJ-it (BRIDG-it? Somethin' like that). What do you think of Brigitte?

I love it too :) I really dislike Bridget, but this version is great. It reminds me of the Brigitte in Heidi, lol.

I have been thinking about this name a bit lately... I think it is pretty, but not too over the top. Definitely not "over-used".

Brigitte is in my top 20 girls' names. I love it especially this spelling. The other nice thing about it is that it's not too popular. I think its due for a comeback.

I think Brigitte is beautiful. I think most Americans wouldn't look at the spelling and think of the normal pronunciation of Bridget. I think they would think it was Bree-jeet. That's what I thought when I saw it. I think it would be an uphill battle to get them to say brih-git-uh.

I like it, but I could never use it because I love Bridget too much.
