If you used your pronunciation, I don't believe it would be mispronounced by the majority of the population. The 'ah-ne-LEE-zu' pronunciation is German. To get your pronunciation ('ann-ah-LEES') in German, you'd have to use Annelies (however, the 'A' would still be pronounced 'ah').

Anyways, I use the German pronunciation, but I like the other pronunciations just the same.
