I haven't heard the name before, but I believe it is of Sanskrit origin. To be sure I need a little bit of information: Do you know, or can you guess, (a) the primary Indian language that the person who chose the English spelling of your name spoke, (b) the region of India that person was from, or (c) the spelling of the name in some Indian or other South Asian script? Even rough indication may suffice.
