I like
Sapphira Nyx best of those with
Nyx as a MN (with the sidenote that I pron.
Sapphira as sah-FEE-rah). Of the ones with
Nyx as a FN I like
Nyx Anaïs best. Also
Nyx Noémi (
Noemi) would be nice I think, instead of
Nyx Naomi.
Since you like alliteration I'd also like to suggest
Nimue Nyx.
aother suggestions:
Aysel Nyx (like the moon - night)
Nathalie Nyx (
Christmas day - night)
Roxana Nyx (bright/star - night)
Serena Nyx (serene - night)
Ligeia Nyx (clear-voiced - night)
Sable Nyx (black - night)
ETA: the pronunciation of
Nyx, is just like the Dutch word for 'nothing', which is 'niks'. So that's why, although I like the name, I wouldn't use it, and I wouldn't like to see it used as a FN for any kid. It would be like naming your child 'nothing' to me.
(and in some cruel way it would be funny to have the twins
Nyx and
Nemo, which would be like naming them 'nothing' and 'nobody' then :P)
