[Opinions] Celeste
This has been a favorite for a while, and I'm curious as to what others think. It's quite rare in the US, so I'm unsure of it. I'm also not sure it.
So, opinions? I'm liking Celeste Alexandra

Celeste is beautiful, and I don't think you'd have any problem with it here in the U.S., as it's classic, classy, charming, and simple to pronounce. There are so many middle names for it that would be nice that I won't list them. It's very pretty. Celeste Alexandra is lovely, though Alexandra isn't normally my style at all.
Ivy is SO beautiful. I would put it first, followed by Eva, then Eve, though I like them all. I think Eva sounds better as a first name, and Eve as a middle name.

It used to really bother me because it nearly rhymes with "molest" but now I think it's beautiful. I'd be more likely to use it as a mn, though.
It's not overly rare in my area, I know 2 off the top of my head...nice enough ladies, but hearing it reminds me more of "Babar" than anything. And I second Snapdragon about the unfortunate rhyming with 'molest'- that kills it for me.
I love love love Ivy, and really pushed for it when naming my daughter, but my husband was against it- said it reminded him of an IV :( I still love it! Eve is very pretty too, simple and sweet... but everybody and their sister where I'm from is calling their kid Evie, so the popularity does detract from it a little in my opinion.

It's actually one of my more unusual favourites.
It's unusual enough to be catchy, but not totally unheard of.
I love Celeste Alexandra, it just sounds right...
Some other ideas? If you want them.
Gabriella Celeste
Eleanor Celeste
Leonora Celeste
Jelena Celeste
Lorena Celeste
Alondra Celeste
Celeste Alejandra
Celeste Katerina
Drea Celeste
Thea Celeste
Marina Celeste

Celeste is lovely, and even though it is rare in the US (it isn't so rare here as Chrisell has already mentioned) it isn't a difficult name to pronounce nor is it 'weird' so to me it is one of those wonderful names that is unusual but usable.
Celeste Alexandra is beautiful!
I prefer Eve out of Eve and Ivy. Ivy is spunky but I can't help but think of poison Ivy...and I also think Ivy doesn't suit a little kid as much as it suits anyone older than about 8. I think the other reason it bugs me a bit is because I see Ivy suiting only a certain 'type' of person- they would be really off-beat and unconventional, outgoing and creative and maybe a bit neurotic - all of which is fine but if she was a bit shy or timid, I think it would be a difficult name to live with. Eve on the other hand has a lot of spunk and attitude, but it would still be an easy name to live with, without any (that I can think of) negative connotations

Celeste Alexandra is gorgeous.
Celeste was quite common here in the 1990s, and it was a big favourite of mine for a while. Some of my combos (from my fantasy families file) were: Bree Celeste, Anna Celeste, Pia Celeste, Jean Celeste and Celeste Sian. I'm still loving Pia Celeste, although I don't think I'd ever actually use Pia due to teasing issues.
Celeste is definitely usable, and sweet with a great meaning.
Ivy vs Eve: I like both, but Ivy has more spunk and verve than Eve.
