I live in a French-speaking community (in Canada). Oddly enough,all the girls' names except Ludivine are common, one hears them every day.
Regarding the male names, Denis and Jean are frequently used, and Pierre, Simon, Paul, and Jacques also, though not as combined names.
Most common combined names are Jean-Claude and Jean-Paul.
