Question: Would you name your child a name that you didn't like the nickname for? (Or at least the common nickname.) I am referring in particular to Josephine. I love the name in full. I don't like Josie though. I'm afraid people would call her that anyway. I do like some of the other nicknames for Josephine- like Joey and Posey. So what do you think? Is it worth naming her the name I love? Or should I stick to Josephine as a middle name?
