[Opinions] Jackson
Which spelling of Jackson do you like?
Jackson / Jaxon / Jaxson / other?
We final thought of a name. Jackson (not sure about spelling).
This time we aren't changing it.Early Saturday morning, we began talking about names. He said Dylan and I liked Evander. We agreed on Evander with the nn Evan. But, his mom and dad loathed the name. So, I was of course mad.Sunday I asked agian about a name. He said Dylan. I was willing to compromise and go with Rylan. (because, honestly, it is Dylan with an R)
DH didn't fall for it. I was a little upset and said that he better think of a name before I get done taking a shower, and it better not be Dylan. Guess what? He got on this site and found the name Jackson nn Jack. Which later he changed to Jaxon. (I disliked the spelling but was thrilled it wasn't Dylan) By this morning it was Jaxson with the nn Jax.

I like Evander the best. :) I do like Jackson better than Rylan and Dylan, though. But ONLY spelled Jackson. Jaxson, Jaxon, Jaxsin, etc. all look illiterate to me. Jackson reminds me of Michael Jackson (ugh) and it's trendy but it's spelled correctly and not a bad name. Good luck!

I like Jackson. :)

Like others have said, I only like Jackson. The others are trendy and contrived, and just plain ugly, imo. I don't like Jax at all (again, trendy and contrived), but Jack is a great name.

Ditto Eden

Jackson! That's how people will automatically spell it. Jaxon would require constant correction.

Just Jackson please

Please only Jackson, for the love of my surname!Jackson is very trendy right now, and I dislike it if it's not a family surname or the kid's not actually the son of a Jack (or a John, or even a Jacob). That said, I won't dismiss the possibility of using it as a middle name for a son of my own.

Jackson is the only spelling I like. You don't have to spell it Jaxon or Jaxson just to get the nickname Jax, and using the traditional spelling will make your child's life much easier.Jackson Evander is a very handsome name. (Never mind what his parents think of Evander. They had their chance to name their kids, so they can just butt out.)

I love Evander as a MN. I definitely prefer Jackson to Jaxon because I adore Jack as a NN.

Not JaxsonUse Jackson. Please. My cousin just had a baby named Jackson Alexander, and I think it's so cute. But, Jax? =/ I really don't like it. That's just my opinion.

JacksonIt's not my cup of tea, but at least it's spelled correctly. Jaxon and Jaxson look illiterate. Why not just Jack?

I actually like Jaxen (a bit of a GP), I also like Jaxon and Jackson, but I would prefer the nn "Jax" over "Jack", so that's why I'd like Jaxen or Jaxon. Jaxson doesn't look right at all.

Jackson nn Jack gets my vote.

Jackson Evander is lovely! (and you can secretly call him Evan) But maybe you should talk about the spelling, because he obviously has his heart set on Jaxon, though I think Jackson is much better. So glad you found a name you like!

Congratulations on finally agreeing! And please, please keep it Jackson and not Jaxon or Jaxson. Jackson can become Jax without being spelled any other way.

Nice name! Really, really prefer the Jackson spelling. Traditional is always good enough for me. Jack also makes a uber-fantastic nn. Do you know what you'll use for a middle?

Ditto, and Jackson Evander is nice.
