Well, I first heard it from A Little Princess, she was the mean one.
Personally, I think it's a lovely name.
Lavinia Henriette - nice
Lavinia Siobhan - very pretty, I love Siobhan (though it is overused and considered a "chav" name where I live)
Lavinia Wilhelmine - doesn't do anything for me
Lavinia Elinor - lovely
I like the name Lavinia Suzanne, Lavinia Danielle (or anything ending in "elle", I just think it works) Lavinia Katherine and Lavinia Skye (how trendy of me!)
ETA: Lavinia is also a character in Thursdays Child by Noel Streatfeild. Good book if I do say so myself, and she isn't a main character, but nicer than the snooty one from The Little Princess :)
