in reply to a message by Norah
-Carolina Raye is a 6 year old girl from California (USA). She needs a bone marrow transplant because she has leukaemia. When she's not too weak from chemo, she likes to swim, play dress up, and watch over her little brother.
-Craig Ronald is Carolina's 1 year old brother. He has no real interests yet.

update and another application (surprise!! :)Thank you so much for blessing us with these kids!Carrie and Iva have bonded, especially since they are both fighting battles. Carrie has started chemo again, and is often weak and tired. Craig is such a joy! He is lovely to have around, and the girls love him! We have an inground pool, so Carrie gets to swim all the time. Unfortunately, she is tired much of the time.I would like to apply again, the same as before. Again, children with terminal illnesses are very welcome in our home!

-Sara Ariana is a 12 year old girl from Ireland. She was hit by a car last year and had a total body shut-down [she needed liver, kidney, and heart transplants]. She got all her transplants, but her body is rejecting her liver again. She'll need another transplant within the next month if she has any hope of survival. She might need counseling. She is often tired and weak, but finds time to practice her hobbies [singing, painting, playing piano and violin, and dancing]. She is very worried and afraid about dying, but reassure her that she'll be fine [her doctor said there are only 2 more people in the head of the line for a kidney so it shouldn't be long].-Sorin Imre is Sara's 2 year old brother. He has a slight speech impediment that can be easily corrected by a speech therapist. He is very shy and too young to understand what is going on with his sister. He is very good at cheering his sister up, though, when he realizes something is wrong. He likes to play with soccer balls but has no real hobbies yet.

Thank you again for blessing our lives!Sara is so sweet and we all love her very much. She actually really looks up to Carrie and Iva because of how brave they are. I think that living with them has strengthened her a little. She is so good at the violin, and at the piano too! We have gotten her counseling, and decided to do the same for the other girls. Sorin is so sweet! He does love those soccer balls, and Andrew is going to teach him soccer when he gets older. Thank you again! We would like to adopt one more little girl. We would love to care for a child who is very ill, and will provide her with the care and love she needs!

Lunella Renee is a 4 year old girl from Romania and has been with the agency since birth. She was born with spina bifida [technically a split spine] and is a paraplegic [paralyzed from waist down] with no hope of ever walking. She is at constant risk for pneumonia which can be extremely fatal to her fragile body. She also has Acute Porphyria [extreme sensitivity to light] and it severly effects her nervous system. In order to live, she has to avoid all sunlight (no going outside or going in any room with windows unless they are appropriatly covered). Light from bulbs doesn't hurt her. This disease is very painful and will most likely die if in direct contact of the sunlight. During her life she is at risk for all the following: constant abdominal pain and vomiting, seizures, and mental disturbances [including: hallucinations, depression, and paranoia]. Her heart beats are irregular and much slower than normal. She needs constant medical care. Please keep us updated.

one year later:Thank you so much for blessing our lives!Luna, as we have taken to calling her, is such a sweet girl! We have gotten a live-in nurse for her (she helps when the other children need it too) and she is in a dark room all the time. We had quite a scare a few months ago when we took her in for surgery on her spine. She fell into a coma for almost a week! It was so sad, because we thought she had no hope. Thankfully, the wonderful doctors were able to revive her! The girls and the boys have taken to her, and they are like peas in a pod. Those three girls bring lots of games into Luna's room and they play all sorts of things!Unfortunately, Luna has developed pneumonia. She is in the hospital now, and in good hands. We are there with her almost all the time. The doctor says she should be all right for now, but our prayers are with her.Sara and Carrie too are in the hospital right now. We decided to get it all over with together, and Sara really needs her liver transplant. Carrie is also getting a transplant, though of bone marrow. Please keep all of our kids in your prayers, and thank you again!
