Yes-about Eamon/Eamonn starting its popularity run-that is what I reason, because I do not see it being popular 100 years ago, and so on, nor 50 or 40 year ago. But I don't like it because it is unique, but honestly because of Eamon/Eamonn's pronounciation, spelling. I tink it's just plain cute for my little Lachlan.

It might have been in Ireland a century ago, I don't know though. There was Eamon De Valera. (Ok, that is just one man but parents could have named after him). I'm not sure if there's any popularity stats for Ireland for that time.
