I prefer the spelling of Lindsay but Lindsay Lohan made me lose all respect for it.

It definitely makes me think of the late 80s/early 90s, since that's when the majority of Lindsays/Lindseys/whateverspelling I know personally were born. (I also happen to prefer it for a boy, but that's irrelevant.)

But I do prefer the Lindsay spelling.

it's not a bad name. but I don't care for it. there's the Lohan association, but I never really liked it before that either.

Lindy is a cute nn though.

I prefer the spelling Lindsey.

I prefer Lynnsey. My cousin spells her name this way. Growing up I thought it was the "normal" way to spell it. Other spellings don't really look right to me.
