[Opinions] Tamara Pronounced?
How do you pronounce Tamara? I’ve heard it pronounced tam-ah-rah, tah-mar-ah, tam-rah, and ta-mair-ah do you know the correct pronunciation?

TAM-rah.
That's how everyone else around me pronounces it, and I've never heard it pronounced any other way.

I say tuh-MAHR-ah. All of them are correct, to some extent--they're just regional variations.

tah-mar-ah
I say Tah-MAR-ah. I have only known one Tamara and that's how she said it.
My brother could never get his tongue around it and he always said Tamarma!

I pronounce it Ta-MA-ra. All short 'a' sounds, like in 'cat'. There is no long 'ah' in Scottish accents, though. In England or the States I think I'd say Ta-MAHR-a.

I know a TAM-rah. I think it's up to the parents to decide how to pronounce the name. Any name, really.
I prefer the pronunciation Tah-mar-ah.
I say tah mar-ah, same way I say Samara.
Well I don't know if there is really a correct one. All the Tamara's I've know so far pronouced it tah-MAH-rah.
