[Opinions] Pippa
I love the name Pippa as a given name. I associate Phillipa with too many Phillips I know. Any suggestions for a middle name to go with Pippa?

I think Pippa works better as a full name than many other pet names do - including ones I often see as full names, such as Ellie, Abbie and Jamie. However, I'd much rather see Philippa on the birth certificate because it gives her options. I also like Philippina, for what it's worth, and I think Pippa could work there too.

reminds me of Pepa (from Josefina)

Pippa is Swedish for something along the lines of "fuck", so I'm afraid I cannot endorse it.

Really? Funny cuz my mother 'n law is 100% swedish and she has never mentioned that when we've discussed names. I will have to check it out....

I like Pippa just as a name

I think Pippa is an adorable name. Spunky, yet classy too, slightly flirtatious. But I think it needs a more formal name. Alone, it seems too flimsy. But just because I love a challenge, how about:Pippa Laurel (or am I thinking of Piper Laurie?)
Pippa Laurie (why not?)
Pippa Alix (form of Alice)
Pippa Valerie
Pippa Noe"l
Pippa Colette
Pippa Leonie ("LEE-uh-nee" or "LAY-uh-nee")
Pippa Leontine ("LEE-un-teen" or "LAY-un-teen")
Pippa Ingrid
Pippa Lorelei
Pippa Liv
Pippa Zoe
Pippa Iris
Pippa Daphne
Pippa Kay
Pippa Elinor
Pippa Cecily
Pippa Audrey
Pippa Dorothy
Pippa Justine
Pippa Jocelyn
Pippa Beatrix
Pippa Clementine
Pippa VioletDo you like any of these? Thanks.

Thanks! Those are great ideas!! I'v been considering Pippa Beatrice and calling her Pippa Bee. Since you think Pippa needs a formal name do you have any suggestions other than Phillipa?

Oh, I love Pippa but only as a NN. I am trying to picture Dr. Pippa Jones or Supreme Court Justice Pippa McGee, and well, it just isn't working. I think you could probably be creative with the NN-ing and use it for almost any P name. I mean, why not, right? But that's just me.To answer the question, I'd pair it with something more traditional as the MN so that if you do go with just Pippa, she'll have something more adult to fall back on.
Pippa Josephine
Pippa Clare
Pippa Louise
Pippa Lucinda
Pippa Catherine
Pippa Caroline
Pippa Lenore
