You came to the right place, Christy!
The meaning of Kotsonaros depends on whether the letter "o" is an "omicron" or an "omega" in Greek (ask your folks!)
* If it is written with an omega, then Kotsonaros is related to the name Kotsos whick is a nickname of Constrantine.
* It it is written with an omicron, then Kotsonaros is related to the word "kotsia" which means "guts". In other words, Kotsonaros would mean "brave, gutsy". The word "kotsia" itself is ultimately derived from the ancient Greek "kottos" whick means rooster :)

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, my folks know nothing about the true spelling of our name... Because you seem to be such a Greek scholar (I'm TRULY impressed with your knowledge!!!) do you know how/where I could find out about the spelling of my name... also, have you ever HEARD of the name Kotsonaros? It'd be so great to contact someone with my name!

Not much of a scholar, I just happen to be Greek :)
I looked up the Athens phone directory, and found 3 entries for Kotsonaros -- all with an "omega" :)

Here goes:

Please note there is a time difference between Greece and the States, so make sure you dont call them at inappropriate hours :)
