Hello, Well since it is my name I will tell you what I know:
It is an Arabic name, of arabic origins.
It is traditionaly used for males, I have never heared of a woman with that name yet.
The name might have couple of manings, the one I am aware of is A baby cob ( a baby lion)
The name is mostly used in the following countries:IRAQ
SYRIA
EGYPTYet the name is still a very rare name to hear.
The origins of the name:
To my knowledge (I do apologize for not being able to give exact facts and refrences) this word has been used for at least the Past 1500 -1800 years, I cannot recall the pre-Islamic poet that used that word in his poetry. But as for the time of the first name I am ashamed in saying I do not know when it was.I hope this helps you.
