Help[Opinions] Vincenzo, Baptisto, and Pasquale
A friend of mine was telling me about her Great Uncles (all three brothers) who were Italian but used "American" nicknames when they came to America.
Vincenzo went by Jimmy and both Baptisto and Pasquale went by Pat.
I just found that interesting.

One side of my family is Irish (where my name comes from) and the other is Italian. My mother's aunts and uncles were given "Americanized" names when they came over from Italy. I might be forgetting some (there were a lot) but this is how they were changed:
Renaldo - Raymond
Dominic - stayed Dominic
Arduino - Andy
Assunta - Susie
Virginie - Virginia
Marietta - Mary
Orlando - Roy
Giuseppe - Joe
Renaldo - Raymond
Dominic - stayed Dominic
Arduino - Andy
Assunta - Susie

My family is the same way. My Dad came from Italy (his name is Beniamino, but that's easy- he goes by Ben, his brother Agostino got shortened to Augie, sister Filomena became Phyllis or Mimi, etc).
Other family members:
Serafina- "Sarah" or "Serina"
Vincenza- Virginia (she changed it altogether because she hated her name)
Carmela- "Millie"
