I was just trying to explain that it didn't matter if it were feminine or masculine. I thought mariej2 made it sound like Renee was the 'proper' and only form you should ever use on a girl. That's just the was I interpreted it. Sorry if I get anyone angry about it.

Don't worry, I agree with you. It's not so much the Renee / Rene thing, but mariej2's constantly high-handed and pretentious attitude about what's "right" or "wrong" that grates.
