Sorry but I dislike it. It's just very unattractive sounding to me. All those long "Ver" sound icy and pretentious to me. Besides, "eek" is not a remotely pleasant sound - it's what we say when we get a shiver up our spine! In the US, people would stress the last syllable (ver-on-EEK) which would only emphasise that. So, nmsaa, I'm afraid.
