[Opinions] Re: do you like these nicknames?
Marie-Kay works, I suppose, but if she was my daughter, I'd probably call her something like Marie-Kitty. Or maybe just plain Kitty. Marie-Katharine and Marie-Kay are both wonderful, though.Cecy is a great name--I used to detest it, but the book Sorcery and Cecelia managed to change my mind. I think it'd be a fine nickname for Regine Cecilia, though I also like Rina and Ginny. My favourite nicknames for Marguerite and Maragaret are Daisy and Marlo. Meg, Liza, Beth, and Ellie are all a bit dull, in my opinion. I think that Margie is also sweet, but I seem a bit alone in thinking that. :)Oh, and in case people warn you away from using nicknames of middle names, I've got to say this: it's perfectly fine. There was a kid in my class named Andrew, but everyone knows him as Zeb (his middle name's Zebulon). Every year, teachers would call Andrew the first day of school, and everyone would be like, "Who?" before remembering that, oh yeah, that's Zeb. Teachers were willing to call him by the name, students were willing to call him by the name, and everything was good. Array
