[Opinions] Artemis and Apollo

I think it would be a beautiful combo for twins! wdyt?I think the name Artemis for a girl is pretty and Apollo is beautiful too...I also like the fact that they were mythlogical twins and that Apollo was the god of light and Artemis was the goddess of the moon and of the hunt

like the names but....I wouldn't use those names for my kids. Artemis reminds my of the book Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer. In that, Artemis is a boy genius with a penchant for criminal activity. Yeah... Carina

By the way I would never name MY twins that!
I just thought it was CUTE! I however do like the name Artemis but the combo is a bit much....

You know, if you have no problems with calling young Apollo and Artemis to you from across the street or in a store, then kudos to you, but I think you'd get quite enough laughs and stares from the onlookers to make you feel uncomfortable.Kelly

They are both beautiful names and two of my favorite characters in mythology. However, using them for twins or even siblings in this day and age would just be too pretentious sounding. Using one of the names alone wouldn't be too bad though. Or even Artemisia as an alternative to Artemis.

I Love the name Artemis for a girl (Don't know why I just always have) And I like the idea of giving them the names based off mythology. Just...Apollo has never really stuck for me. I can tolertate it but its not a favorite.

The set together is way too themey and Apollo does nothing for me as a real person's name. Artemis is lovely on its own, though.Shannon

I don't care for either name individually (Artemis isn't at all feminine, and Apollo isn't masculine, to me), but especially for twins. I dislike same initlas names for twins, and they are theme-y.

I really love Apollo and Apollyon (Which was in harry potter and supposidly is a name for the devil and means "destroyer", that doesnt bother me at all)

It's cute, and I love the name Artemis for a girl. Apollo isn't really my style. I'm not really for such obvious name themes either, but, like I said, it is kind of cute.

I love Artemis for a girl! I know a little Artemis Sophia (a wise huntress.) But I can't say Apollo does much for me. It's kind of pretentious sounding. I don't know why Artemis doesn't give me the same feeling, since they are both names of Gods/Godesses. I suppose if he didn't like his name he could go by Paul.That reminds me. I saw a poll once on the Babycenter home page. The father was an astro-physicist and they wanted a name connected with the stars. They already had twin boys named Castor and Pollux (Paul). Somehow those names didn't get to me the same way Apollo does. Remind me. Were Artemis and Apollo siblings in mythology?
