My guess is that it's a variant of the Irish name "Fiona" meaning "vine". Possibly just a creative spelling of the name.

Well, the pronounication is the same as 'Fiona'.
I don't know whether it is a creative spelling or not, but possibly not related to Phoenix. Anyway, thanks so much.
