We have had
a lot of people who were really one person, but pretended to be two or more. (Our record's 23 false identities for one person, iirc.) In fact, this happens so often that I would estimate that 80-90% of all those "separate" people with the same IP are actually one person using multiple names... this is strictly against the rules, and is colloquially called MPDism around here.
Because of this, we all tend to automatically assume that two or more people who share the same IP are MPDs. We have to be told otherwise.
Pavlos was not around when you explained your unique situation the first time, so he naturally assumed you and your gang were MPDs. He meant no harm, he was just cracking down on someone he thought might be a rule-breaker.
