Yes, I knew Lynn meant "lake" in Welsh, and that the given name ordinarily derives from the Welsh source. Another source could be the Old English element lin "flax", but I don't think that'd be common.Lindo's an interesting name. I think it's also conceivable that it could derive from Old English lindi "snake" or linde/lind "lime tree" or the Germanic lind "serpent"/"dragon" or linde "soft"/"tender".
