Help[Facts] The Meaning of Jessalyn
Growing up I had a plaque in my room that says my name means "Wealthy Woman" but I don't care for that definition as it was based on who-knows-what. My mother said she found it in a book that just listed names. So, my guess is the welsh varient of Jesse or Jessica or piecing together what is at this site:
JESSE m English, Biblical
"gift" from Hebrew yishai.
and
LYNN f,m English
Either "lake" (Welsh) or else a short form of LINDA
this would lead me to "lake gift" or "gift of a/the lake"
Any suggestions? I like my name and since, there is not a definition that I can find anywhere...do I get to make it up? :)
