Overall Namenerds is great, but for some names they give a heavy dialectal pronunciation that isn't the norm. I think just depends on which sources they've used. (The site is American if I remember correctly, and I don't get the impression its creator knows Gaelic themselves. So they've no doubt been the victim of a few incorrect sources along the way.)

Anyway, I've never heard of MAR-steen and it doesn't seem right at all to me, unless it's a dialectal variant as I said. The normal pron. of Mairtín is MAR-cheen or MAR-chyeen. Several name books by Gaelic speakers give this pron., and I've heard it once or twice in real life (though it's not a common name). Some dialects could potentially change this to "st" I suppose, but it's a bit of a stretch and I would stick with MAR-cheen if it were me.
