[Opinions] some interesting name ideas...twins, themes, etc.
I heard these twin names here at school. I have a friend named Dawn who has a twin named Eve. I find these too drippy sweet. My English professor has two boys Easton and Weston (nn Wes). I don't think these are too bad, especially with the nickname Wes. Speaking of Easton, I play hockey, and we were talking recently about "theme" naming a set of kids after hockey equipment...(I know stupid). We only used those we could see as names (ie, no CCM, Itech, Jofa, etc.)Here's what we came up with:
Easton
Bauer
Cooper
Brian
Heaton
Christian
Franklin
Graf
Sherwood
Montreal (the only one we thought would be AT ALL ok for a girl)Just so you know...these aren't names we actually are thinking of naming any kids, just a fun name game. Any one else have the a similar "theme" idea?

lol, well actually I've done it with brands of ballet and dance apparel (and not Bal-Togs, Eurotard, Danksin, etc.):
Mirella
Gamba
Sansha
Chacott (sha-caht)
Capezio
Leo
Grishko
Gilda (designer is Gilda Marx)
Natalie
Baryshnikov
Triena (Trienawear)
DashaI think they're so beautiful, but I wouldn't use many of them as names. I like Natalie a lot. I also think that Mirella is beautiful, I know an adorable girl named Dasha, and I love the sound of Sansha. It is a fun game :-)

Christian is fine for a girl too. It was a medieval feminine name, being the English form of both Latin Christianus *and* Christiana. I far prefer it on a girl :-)I think Cooper (for a boy) is nice if it's a family name, and I also like Sherwood. Otherwise they are nms.

I heard of a couple once who named their sons Weston "West" and Austin "Aussie". They live in Western Australia. *rolls eyes*edit - typo

that is bad. i felt sorry for a girl i knew called victoria simply because she lived in victoria. but west and aussie is just sad... and thinking of places, my brother has a friend called Darwin. It just seems weird when you have an association with the place. I could never call a child Adelaide or Sydney.I think 'hidden' themes better. Like my brother's and mum's names are both welsh meaning valley. But no one notices the connection even though their names sounds are close.
