[Facts] Vertie
I've heard on tv of a person called Vertie ("vair-tee"). I'm not sure of the spelling. I just saw the end of the show and I don't know the sex or the origin of that person. Any idea of the meaning?

How about a variant of Bertie?
With some accents (not mine, but maybe an American one ...) it could sound the same as Verity and be a respelling of that?

Verdi is "green" in Itlaian.
Verti is a Spanish name. I think it's "truthful", but don't hold me to that. I do know "ver" means truth in spanish though so I wouldn't doubt this.
Perhaps from one of them?
