I agree with the first response that Antony seems VERY Italian, even more so than Anthony or Tony. It's a nice name, but I don't feel strongly either way about it.
I might add that I live in a very ethnically, uh - homogenous area. I know virtually nobody of Italian descent, and I never hear the name Antony in real life. Tony has been quite common around here, though, for both sexes. It's not currently being used.
