Kip...Its a word, I think.
To kip a nap, or to kip a drink. I don't know. I like it, my brother Christopher was almost called Kip.

Kip is not really my style, but I have a friend whose name is Kristina who goes by Kip.
The nickname is barely related to her name itself. Her grandmother gave it to her intending it to stand for "Kristina is patient." It stuck because there were so many Kristina's at her school.
I guess my point is that you can nickname a child whatever you want without it having to fit his or her formal name perfectly.

I think Kippen is nice.
It's nms, though. It makes me think of napoleon dynamite!

I don't like it at all.
Isn't it a nn for Christopher? I could be wrong, though.
I've heard it used as a nn for Christopher
It's just not very common. I think it was more common in a bygone era.
