I'm flying blind again on this one (ref books packed, alas), but I believe the origin of "Britain" is in the name of the Prytanni, a Celtic tribe of pre-Roman times.
Therefore, the Latin "Brittania" would mean simply "land of the Prytanni".

Actually, spelt Looziana trailer-park style (Britney), it do.
If it had an extra "t", it'd be an anagram for a large building where eager, wannabe bimbettes might line up like cattle to get their breast augmentations. I can just see the televised commercials: "Get your low-cost breast augmentation at Dr. Joe-Bob's... " (No I'm not gonna say it.)
