I am a female and my background is Portuguese. I am trying to find the history of my name. I did a name search and came up with a place in Brazil called Santa Esmeria and the second thing that came up was the family tree of Jesus of Nazareth. It stated that Jesus great aunt was Esmeria and her mother was Esmertina. See as these women were Jewish I fiqured to look into Jewish cites. Can you please help me if you can to find the origin and the meaning of this name. Thank you
