[Opinions] Re: Judy and Theresa
I absolutely adore Judy as a nickname for Judith. Judith is beautiful and makes me think of the character from The Witch of Blackbird Pond. Judy makes me think of the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Sometimes Young song, "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes." Great song--it's definitely the sort of thing to sing to a little girl.I don't like Theresa at all. Teresa is lovely--it's my mummy's name ;)--but we have an H aversion in my household. I don't like the nickname Tessa for it. In fact, I don't like nicknames for T(h)eresa at all, but that's because my mother only got called nicknames by guys hitting on her, and Terry and Tess irritate her.T(h)eresa Jane is the only one of the three I like that you've listed. The other two seem way too typical at the moment, and the way Violet's being passed around makes it sound like the next Rose. I think that short middle names sound lovely with T(h)eresa.T(h)eresa Jean (very biased towards this)
T(h)eresa Jane
T(h)eresa Beth
T(h)eresa Mary (very Catholic, heh)
T(h)eresa Ann (another very Catholic one)I dunno. It's such a lovely name that it goes with a lot of stuff. I just don't like the image it projects with names like Violet and Catherine.Array
