I don't know which is more flattering -- that you really want to put my funny name on your site, or that you've been reading my postings. :)
According to *Women of Classical Mythology: A Biographical Dictionary* by Robert E. Bell (Oxford University Press, 1991): "Nanaea was another name for Anaitis, the Asiatic divinity with whom Artemis was often identified."
I seem to recall having once found two historical references to the goddess Nanaea some years ago, but I'll have to check on that when I'm at work later today.
Hey! What do you think of an Anagram Name list? You know, Mike, I've scoured the 'net, and haven't been able to find anything like it on anyone else's website... (hint! hint!) :)
