Couldn't find the name "Gwerydd" in my *Enwau Cymraeg i Blant: Welsh Names for Children*. However, I checked a Welsh dictionary and it appears that "Gwerydd" may be a name formed from the words "gwerdd" and "gwyrdd", both meaning "green".
