HelpNyx' Royal Congrats ▓▒░ Round 5 ░▒▓
OK – In order for me to be able to track a story across so many different setups, I will be referring to each child in numerical order (so Prince/ss1 would be your first child and Prince/ss2 would be your second child, etc. – I will be referring to all children as “he” unless everybody has a girl). I will also be providing two different storylines. If you have a Kingdom/Queendom, you will have one story line; and if you have an Empire, you will have a different story line (see below for descriptions of what the different social structures mean).
List of Social Systems:
Kingdom: Patriarchy, the father or eldest male is head of the household, has a system of government by males, titles are traced through the male line
Queendom: Matriarchy, the mother or eldest female is head of the household, has a system of government by females, titles are traced through the female line
Empire: Primogeniture, the eldest child of the sovereign succeeds to the throne, regardless of gender, and females enjoy the same right of succession/titles as males
Kingdom/Queendom: The Kingdom/Queendom has been attacked! The King must go out with the troops, and the Queen must keep things flowing smoothly at the royal court. For four long years, the King and Queen do not see each other. Finally, a major battle is won and it looks like the war is over. While there are still skirmishes, the King is able to return to court. The generals are in charge of “wrapping up” the rebels/enemy military, and reporting to the King how everything is going. The King and Queen waste no time in regaining old intimacies, and soon the Queen is pregnant again. This pregnancy is hard, the Queen loses much energy and gains much weight. Almost eight months later, twins are born. They are small, and weak and the physicians are unsure if they will survive.
Empire: The Royal family has been attacked on a tour of state/republic/land! The eldest son sustains a minor injury as he tries to protect his siblings (and maybe the oldest child too – if you wish). The Emperor and Empress were so surrounded by guards that no terrorist/assassin was able to get close. This was the beginning of war/revolt. The Emperor left with his troops to settle the war/revolt. However, it took four years before the battle of (your-name-here) was won and victory seemed assured. The Emperor returned home, leaving the remainder of the “clean up” with his generals and nobles. From court, he would still oversee it all. The Empress has been making sure that everything internal to the Empire has been running as smoothly as possible. The two waste no time when it comes to greeting each other. It is no surprise that the Empress finds herself pregnant within weeks of the Emperor being home. However, this pregnancy is difficult. The Empress loses much energy and gains much weight. Almost eight months later, twins are born. They are small, and weak and the physicians are unsure if they will survive.

All children must have at least 2 MNs. The FN of each twin must have a subtle link (like same meaning, being anagrams of each other, or both being birds/flowers/colors/nature/etc. – Not names that start with the same letter or both rhyme). You may use the namebanks for ideas, but your names are not limited to what you can find there.

On a tour of Prylyn, the Royal family has been attacked by foreign soldiers. Theobald and Fidelia were safe, but Varinia and Rainer were injured while protecting their siblings. They were taken care of as soon as they were reunited with their parents, and have suffered nothing permanent, but this episode marked the beginning of war with a neighboring country. Theobald set off with his troops, and it took four long years to restore peace. Soon after he returned home, Fidelia found herself pregnant. After a difficult and painful eight months, twin boys are born. Both are small, sickly, and weak, and the Royal doctors aren’t certain they’ll live, so the family names them Baldric and Hartwin, meaning “bold power” and “brave friend”.

The Kin people, furious with the Royals of Dunlin for harboring the late Emperor Philip’s family and naming his daughter Helen the Empress Regnant of Kin, sent the Queen and Prince a letter demanding that they release the Princesses of Kin into the custody of the Kin people so that “justice could be served.” Knowing that giving Nell and Maggie to the Kin Rebels would mean their deaths, Queen Catherine and Prince Christopher found it impossible to acquiesce to the Rebels’ “requests.” They also realized that the Rebels would never just leave Nell and Maggie alone, so they declared that the Kin people had committed treason in threatening to kill their Empress, and thus declared war on Kin.
Prince Christopher once more headed the armies, leaving Queen Catherine and the family in the palace. Four years of bloody battles ensued. Finally, the heads of the Rebellion were kidnapped and executed. The Empire was reinstated, although it was deemed still unsafe for Nell and Maggie to return to Kin.

While touring the country, the royals were attacked. Luckily for them, no one got hurt because the guards did their jobs to protect the Melech, Malka, and Sarah, the nesicha bchorah. Dan got a couple bruises from fighting off a terrorist taht tried to take Yardena, thinking she was Tali. After making sure his family returned home safely, David led the army to battle the terrorists. After four long years, Irsale victoriously won, and David returned. A month or two later, the queen was pregnant and eight months after that the twin nesichim were born. Barak was the sicklier twin and for that he received the middle name Chaim, life.

Bram was slightly stunned when he was told the news. Not only had his King, Queen, and all five of their children passed away from the mysterious epidemic, but so had his mother, the King's younger sister. He was all of a sudden he was the one to inherit the throne of Melquior. The next thing he knew, he was being crowned and had advisors after him at all hours of the day and night. He was no where prepared for this. By the time he was born, the King and Queen already had 2 healthy children and there was no need to think that he might need to be trained to inherit the throne. His advisors badgered him about many different issues, and some he could see were plots to help out those nobles who suggested them.
However, there was one thing all of the advisors agreed upon, he needed to marry and provide heirs to give an image of stability to the Empire. After going over countless lists of eligible and connected females from within the Empire and without, and meeting many of them briefly, he chose his childhood sweetheart the Marchesa of Anburn. This proved to be very wise of him, as Zahara had a mind that was born to see through the political twists and turns of the court and Empire. And, as the two were rapidly falling in true love, Zahara found herself helping Bram more and more. With the rapid series of changes in the Empire recently, no one can tell what is around the corner. However, Bram and Zahara now seem ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

(Winton is related to Wine, meaning "friend", and Amity is friendship).
Several kingdoms on the west side of the country (where Phantasma lies) allied together to fight several eastern kingdoms that opposed them. Phantasma was not directly involved with the politics, but sent troops to fight anyway, as allies of Tallo (that being Queen Eve's home kingdom).
King Griffin was away for four years with his troops. Queen Eve, meanwhile, ran the country for him, with the help of the kingdom's advisors.
Finally Griffin was able to return, and almost exactly three months later, the Queen was announced to be pregnant. Five months after that, after a tiring pregnancy, she gave birth to twins-- Winton II and Amity.
The twins were very small, however, and weak, and the doctors caring for them are as of now, unsure if they are going to survive.

After the Colonial Wars, that claimed that life of Markgraf Ulrich-Waldemar and lead to the adoption of his two daughters into the royal court, had come to a conclusion Kaiser Heinrich's people had tired of war and so had the military, unfortunately Kemberg's neighbours to the East, the Grand Duchy of Oranienburg decided the time was right to try reclaim the lands that they felt were unjustly inherited by the Kemberg line of the von Salzwald family a century prior.
The war was hard and long, with both sides gaining short held advantages over a four year period until the 3rd battle of Reineck, when the forces of Kemberg, personally led by Heinrich routed the larger Oranienburg force and pushed thru to the captial of Oranienburg, Halver. While Halver was being beseiged the Kaiser was able to leave the command of his forces to his only full brother, Prinz Maximilian.
Heinrich came home after 4 long years on the front. Irene had had a hard time running the royal court with her husband absent and her brood of children. She was relieved for Heinrich to be home and their passion for each other had grown during this time and they fell pregnant quickly.
During the pregnancy Irene seemed to gain weigh quickly but lacked much energy. Her confessor Father Philip believed that it was a sign from the Lord that the war must be ended peacefully and soon or a calamity may fall upon the house of von Salzwald. Soon after his pronouncement, Prinz Maximilian fell while lead the assault of the Orianienburg castle.

The Halladey Free State wanted to regain some of the lost territory lost during the last war. Thus, they attacked the imperial convoy near the village of Sakura-jima, just 50 miles from the border. This restarted the old conflict, as a Halladey archer shot an arrow at Prince Roger, just grazing his leg leaving a scrape. This was very bold, and warranted war. This war was more difficult, not because the Halladey Free State was any stronger but because the Emperor wanted to take over the capital of the Free State, to guarantee no more attacks will happen. The capital was captured four year later in the Battle of Halladey Cleft thus the emperor was able to return to the imperial palace. The empress became pregnant shortly after the emperor's return. The weight gain was much greater than in the previous pregnancies thus the imperial doctor suspected twins. The suspicion was right. The twins are not quite as healthy as the previous babies were at this point. This is conserning to some in the empire. The Halladey Free State is no longer in existance as the Empire has wiped out all resistance in the Free State.

After the Royal family was attacked, most things seemed to go wrong. When Prince Conrad sustained injuries for trying to protect his sisters. The Empress was distressed that there was no guards to protect them, while Emperor Finnian and herself were so surrounded that the assassin was unable to get close.
This had been the beginning of the revolt. Emperor Finnian left with his troops to settle it all. It took four years for the battle to be won, and victory to seem assured. Emperor Finnian returned home, leaving the rest to his generals and nobles.
Meanwhile, Empress Mattie has been making sure that everything internal to Labyrinth has been running smoothly, while managing to take care of her 6 children.
When the Emperor returns home, it is no surprise that the Empress finds herself pregnant within weeks of Emperor Finnian's return. This pregnancy is very hard on Empress Mattie, she has close to no energy, and gains much weight.
Eight months later, their twin girls are born. They are named Zara Ingrid Emmanuelle Paz and Rayen Yuna Inez Emmeline, their first names both meaning flower. However, the little girls are tiny, and the Royal Family has been told that they may not survive.

Just after the period of mourning over Asenath's cousin Hebsibah was over, Hebsibah's tribe attacked Thaeris! The tribe, Ouddo, attacked Thaeris for protecting Hebsibah, who they had come to consider a traitor. At first, Asenath tried to reason with them, but once word got to her that her aunt and uncle, the leaders of Ouddo, had also been murdered and that the regime attacking Thaeris was the result of a coup d'etat, decided that there is no way but to resist.
Leading the army of Thaeris was the High Priestess' Consort, Valen. Gathering the captains of the armies into an emergency meeting, Asenath concluded that the best way to defeat the irrational Ouddos is to form an alliance with the Strangers - the very ones the Ouddos despise to the core. With help from the Strangers and their powerful weapons, hopefully, the Ouddos will both learn to fear and respect the Strangers and Thaeris. The Consort Valen decided to lead the way to the Strangers' settlement outside the forests, citing his contact with them in the past and even his usage of a Stanger's name will pave the way for him.

In the Kingdom of Legato
A country near by were trying to take over some land from the Kingdom, and therefore attacked. The King had to go out with the troops and leave his wife and the children at the Royal Court. The King thought he would be back soon, but it would take him four years until he could see his wife and children again. The children missed their father dearly, but they knew that this was what had to be done. When the King left, Crown Prince Morgan was only 9 years old. When he came back, he was 13 and turning into a lovely young man.
It didn't take long for the Queen to get pregnant once again after the King has gotten home. It was a hard pregnancy for the Queen, after all, she isn't getting younger. It turned out to be twins, but not as healthy as everyne was hoping for. They are very small and weak, and it is not sure that they will survive.
Pricne Atticus, the smaller of the two, looks exactly like Prince Valerian did as a baby. The newborn Princess, Athena, got curious and friendly brown eyes. The Royal Couple, the family and the Kingdom are all hoping for the twins to gain weight and get better.
Note: Atticus menas "from Attica" in Latin and Attica is the region surrounding Athens in Greece. Therefore I used Athena for the girl. But if that doesn't count let me know and I'll change it :-)

Names sound good to me - I just wanted people to put more thought into it then finding a name that rhymed or started with the same letter :-)
Besides - I am not policing the names. I figure I put the rules out there to challenge people... Life doesn't always give you what you want, and I'm sure that I don't either - However, just like in life, people can cheat if they are so minded...
I'm having a hard enough time trying to come up with two story lines and keep everything else up also... Names will either follow the rules or not... For the biggest challenge, people will follow the rules and have the most fun :-)

Only a few months later Antonia was found to be pregnant, unlike all of her others though this pregnancy was very hard on the Vasilissa and she delivered small, weak twins. Antonia is slowly recovering but the physicians are unsure about whether the Pringkips and the Pringkipissa will make it.
