Wow, over 20 sign-ups! That's great! Here's how it's going to work. You will keep up with ages.Everyoen will follow the same timeline, and I will post how much time has passed every round. Names are entirely up to you, as we all have different tastes and so would our made-up couples. I would love it if you would explain why you chose the name, but that isn't really required. If you are a same-sex couple, you must tell how how you got the baby you have (surrogate/adotion/etc). Couples who want adoptions and births, you can choose each round if the baby you have is adopted or biological, but they will all appear as DD or DS (no ADS/ADD). Anyone who adopts must tell where the child came from. Stories are greatly encouraged and appreciated, but I won't require them.
So, let's get to it! This round it has only been a few months, and we'll assume no one has had a birthday, so no need to change ages. Every couple has had one child.

Hallie has been living in a women's shelter for the last 9 months. She has become good friends with her roommate, Veronica (who also had a baby boy), as well as the other women in the shelter. It is ran by a group of Catholic nuns who have been teaching the girls how to cook and sew, as well as other useful things. A priest, Father Amariah DuBois, used to hold mass at the shelter and was very encouraging and kind to the girls. He became almost like a grandfather to Hallie, so when he passed away from a heart attack a few weeks before she gave birth, she knew she wanted to honor him. On a sunny September morning Hallie welcomed her beautiful baby boy, Amariah Louis Aristotle "Louie" Carter. She picked Louis after Louis Armstrong (one her favorite musicians) and she chose Aristotle because she hoped her son would love to learn. Hallie and Louie are living at the shelter for now, but she hopes to have a job soon and maybe be able to afford an apartment.

Ari and Julia recently went on a trip to Russia to visit the orphanage they grew up in, as they do at least a couple times every year. They always bring plenty of donations from home, things like clothes, toys, food, medical supplies, and all sorts of other things. Ari loves watching Julia helping care for the babies and older children alike, and imagining how amazing a mother she would be. Julia enjoys seeing her Ari joining in games with all of the kids, kicking around a ball in the small courtyard and helping with schoolwork. The children always love climbing all over Ari, who gladly picks them up and gives them piggy-back rides.
On the third day of their visit, Julia first went into the orphanage's infirmary to help unload some of the medical supplies they had brought while Ari went with the children to the back courtyard. When Julia finished unloading and went outside, she saw something that made her smile (and take a picture for the memory). Ari had laid on a hammock and started to read a book to a little boy, and they had both fallen asleep. The little boy's head rested on Ari's chest while Ari had one arm around him.

No, just edit the ages when you do the round. You can adopt anywhere from newborn to age seventeen, though if you adopt an older kid I'd like to know how they're adjusting and how the former oldest if adapting to having an older sibling.

Mike and Calli surprised both their families just by buying their farm together; the families were even more shocked to hear that Mike and Calli would be having a little girl. Mike's parents were the traditional type and absolutely scandalized, at both the arrangement and the fact that the pair had no plans to ever marry. They came around when they met their granddaughter though; Harmony Demetria Sullivan-Rhodes was a sweet, happy little girl who always seemed to have a smile for everyone. She settled in nicely at the farm.

Camilla was the first name that everyone liked without having ot be convinced, and Marisol is to honor Maria, Irena, and Tony's Hispanic heritage. With three biological children already, Josh and Maria decided to adopt a baby. They contacted an agency, who, quite miraculously, matched them with a baby in only three months! It is a baby girl only three weeks old. She was delivered by emergency C-section three weeks early when her mother, the teenage girlfriend of a New York City gangbanger, was shot and died on the operating table. Camilla was delivered just in time, and though a little early she was perfectly healthy. The boyfriend was killed in the same shooting that killed his girlfriend, and neither set of grandparents wanted the baby girl, so she was placed for adoption. The baby's tragic story struck a chord with Maria, having gone through such a similar situation herself. She and Josh sat down with their kids and chose the new baby's name together from a baby book. Camilla was the first name that everyone liked without having ot be convinced, and Marisol is to honor Maria, Irena, and Tony's Hispanic heritage. Baby Camilla is happy and healthy, doted upon by mother, father, sisters, and brother. They have only had her a few months, but they cannot imagine life without her now.

Aina Theodora was born at 8:27 AM after an 18 hour labor spree. Yoshirou & Elene decided to name their daughter Aina Theodora because it reflects their cultures beautifully. Aina means "love, affection, vegetables and greens". Odd meanings right? Ai & Na mean too different things in Japanese. Theodora is after my great grandmother Theodora Vasiliki Michelakakis.
