It is 1940. Bob died two years ago of a heart attack. Beth hasn't been the same since, but she enjoys seeing her grandchildren grow up. Victoria and Henry are doing well, as are their children. Andrew and Amelia had another daughter in 1938. Jamie and Ella are doing well together too. They had a daughter a few months after Frankie's first birthday.

Johan has remarried. He and his new wife Vilhelmina have a son named Fredrik Alfred. He was named after his dad and grandfather.
Nothing new have happened in Erik's and Linnéa's families.
Astrid and Olaf are still childless.
Hilda and Petrus have a new daughter. Evelina was born in 1937.
Axel and Susanna have welcomed two new children. Josephina "Fina" in 1937 and Zakarias in 1939.
Klara and Peter also have two new children. Sebastian in 1938 and Victor in 1940.
Ottilia recently got married to Thomas. They had daughter Ingrid in 1940.

There was a tragedy in the family. In 1938, Mercedes was run over by a car. She died at the hospital. The family misses her terribly.
