Story: Alexander VI's father - Alexander V, the former king of Lochbarrow - died from several health complications when Alexander VI was 22. Alexander VI, being the only male heir, took the throne. He was a clever man and a fierce fighter, but he was fighting a losing battle to the rivaling Royal House, Gascoigne. They believed that they should take the throne of Lochbarrow, and that Alexander VI's family did not deserve the throne. To make a compromise, Alexander VI married the pride and beauty of the Gascoigne, their beloved princess Regina Catherine. It was a smart move, and while not all has been resolved, there has been less tension between the houses of Feuilly and Gascoigne.
