* Please bold all new additions. You can do this by typing < b > before your text and < / b > after it (without the spaces).
* If you miss 3 consecutive rounds without notifying me, I will drop you from the game.
* Please do not hyperlink names.
Round 1 Rules
* Use the name banks provided to name your child. You can also use any of the names you used for your king and queen.
* Spelling changes are allowed; variants are not (e.g. Elizabeth can become Elisabeth but not Isabelle).
* Translations into other languages are also OK (e.g. William can become Guillaume or Guillermo).
* It's not required, but it would be fun if you could write a short story about your family. They're always fun to read. I've provided an optional prompt below.
* Don't get too attached to any single member of your family, because you never know when I might decide to kill one off...

King Robert and Queen Dorothea of Westergate are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first child and crown prince, Enzo! Their new baby boy closely resembles his mother, with dark hair and eyes. Queen Dorothea dotes on him and the two are rarely separated. King Robert, while less outwardly affectionate, seems to be rather proud of his first son. A feast and ball were thrown in honor of the prince's birth.
The kingdom has been mostly quiet, aside from a few minor border skirmishes with a neighboring country, Gettaro Prime, and its king, King Antonio Jaromir.

Their new baby boy closely resembles his mother, with dark hair and eyes. Queen Dorothea dotes on him and the two are rarely separated. King Robert, while less outwardly affectionate, seems to be rather proud of his first son. A feast and ball were thrown in honor of the prince's birth.
The kingdom has been mostly quiet, aside from a few minor border skirmishes with a neighboring country, Gettaro Prime, and its king, King Antonio Jaromir.

Last year, at this time, Oliver was the youngest of 4 brothers, all of whom would inherit over him if something were to happen to the King (his uncle), the crown-prince, or his father. Being seventh in line for the throne, he never even considered it a real possibility.
Last year, he moved to a distant family holding to "learn how to manage his future estate". However, the real reason was Oriana. Oriana was a minor lady from a neighboring kingdom. She spent much of her childhood running around with Oliver as her father did business with his father. And then, one summer she came back a women. The two fell madly in love, and planned to marry.
However, Oliver's father was unhappy with this situation and Oriana's lack of status, and refused consent. Oliver was sent to the far reaches of the kingdom to keep them apart. Oriana was just as in love with Oliver as he was with her, and stole the secret of where he was hidden from Oliver's father's diary. She sold her meager assortment of jewels and traveled to the faraway estate.
Once there, the two were happily reunited. The local's had no clue that Oriana was the reason for Oliver being sent there (as his father wanted to keep it under wraps), and were happy to see the young love. Within a matter of months, the two were married by a local priest.
That's when tragedy happened. The royal hunting party was attacked by a band of assassins. The king, Oliver's father, and 3 brother's were all killed. The crown prince was mortally wounded. The remaining guards were able to get the crown prince back to the castle, where he met with his council of Royal Advisors and declared Oliver his heir.

King Robert and Queen Aurelia were excited to welcome their first child, Crown Prince Octavian Andreas Lothair. The kingdom welcomes their new prince. The house of Cheyne has been good, just rulers over the people, and the commoners are glad to see the lineage continued. King Robert's cousin, Earl of Fordland, recently made known his intentions to become King somewhere. After an attempted royal coup, the Earl was banished to the pioneer colony of Aldcreek. The rest of the kingdom is at peace. A new Earl of Fordland has been declared--King Robert's best childhood friend Duke Augustus Philippe of the House of Brawn. The Duke has made some changes for the good as Earl of Fordland, and the inhabitants there are happy.

The first three years of William and Aurelia's marriage was childless (though Aurelia did suffer through two miscarriages). The Umbresian nobility, fed up with waiting for a Courfeyrac heir, threatened to overthrow the Crown and install their own successor. William's cousin Konrad, Duke of Caragard, led the uprising, fully intent on claiming the throne for himself and the House of Daaé. Fortunately, around the same time, Aurelia became pregnant and carried the baby to full term. On the same day that his first child and daughter, Sofia, was born, William ordered Konrad to be executed for high treason. Although it was not the hoped-for son, Sofia's arrival placated the nobility and brought them back into line.
As is custom, Sofia was sent away shortly after her birth, to her own estate in Aelbourne. Her parents are absolutely smitten with her -- her father especially -- and visit her as often as they can.

The kingdom itself is estatic, knowing that this Crown Prince will learn every from his father, the happy King Charlie. The kingdom is in good spirits, especially because of the end of a two-moon drought. The kingdom is very happy, the see the birth of the Crown Prince as a special sign of peace and prosperity.
