Help*Grand Imperial Congrats* -- Round 2
Don't worry, you haven't missed round 1. I just saved this is round2.txt so if we start off naming all the rounds 1 past what they should be it'll be less confusing for me, believe it or not.
I know this is early after the signups, but I've been up since four not sleeping (it's six now, ugh) and I figure if I post it now I'll have things to work with when I get back from school!
Anyway.
All right. Time to pick a few basics. I've picked some for you - that is, the name of your country and your surname. Both are based on the coat of arms you picked in the signups. Of course, feel free to alter/completely throw out anything I've given you - I'm mainly trying to give you a rough feel of what real country yours equates to. And if you're playing for fun, I haven't given you anything :)
Oh, also, you're a male. Whether you're a King, an Emperor, Grand Emperor, Caesar, Czar, or anything else, that's up to you, but let me know.
Your title is yours to pick, though, and here's a suggested format:
[By the Grace of God or something similar], His (Royal, Imperial, Apostolic) (Highness, Majesty) Yourname. You may use all or none of these spaces and feel free to invent your own title, I'm not very creative with them. Or look at kings and queens on wikipedia or something, and find their titles.
Feel free to tell us about your nation - a brief history, any military rivals, how your family got to power, strange customs, social demographics, capital city, major exports, geography, that kind of thing. OR: not.

HIM Giuseppe came to rule after an uprising in 1111. Before this year, the Apolistic Church of Crescentyne was the ruling party. A young woman by the name of Margherita Garabaldi was excecuted for crimes unbefitting to her station and there was an uprising. The mayor at the time was Giuseppe, who was crowned bye the people as the new ruler of Crescentyne and the lands of Turnstall.

The country of Impetigo has been ruled over by the Superbus family since the mid-8th century when the brave Emperor Filipo the Awesome lead the army to defeat the Visigoths (note: I'm not going for historical accuracy here so no need to correct any impossibilities!). Since then the noble and heroic Superbuses have ruled their subjects (and their subjects sheep) with a firm but gentle hand. The celebrate many holidays including St. Cleophibus' Day, as he is the patron saint of the country, Gorgeous George day, instated by a particularly beautiful, but vain, king, and of course Eat Yourself Silly Day, on which day the citizen of Impetigo just get down to the first order of business of most holiday celebrations and eat gluttonously. Traditional foods include carrots and beets (eschewed by young Impetigans throughout the country), Enscrumpled Beef (look it up on wikipedia), and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Here are a couple of other facts about the country of Impetigo:
Capital: Vivo
Exports: carrots, beets, star fruit, oil, little figurines made of recycled materials
National pastimes: Reading poetry aloud in the streets, artichoke hurling, tai bo
National rash: Impetigo

The kingdom of Revelia is a small island-nation of 5 million. Its largest city and its capital is Catonia, located on the country's coast. Revelia is known for its shipbuilding, but there is a large tourism industry in the summer. Main exports include fish, dairy, and textiles. Given its location, Revelia is also an important sea port and trade outpost in the Aronian Ocean.
In the past, Revelia was a part of the Venorian Empire but became an independent republic in 1189 after a military coup left Venoria devastated. In 1217 the wealthy and influential Mercurio family seized power and ruled the country with an iron fist for a century thereafter. In 1345, after years of civil war, the Stradivaris succeeded in overthrowing the Mercurios, and Cosimo V became king of Revelia. His grandson Cosimo VII is the current king and is known for his benevolence and shrewd understanding of politics and social welfare.

Emperor Otto is the current ruler, though that may change in a short time. Fussbagians are very prone to war and can be quite fickle. There is an even mix of children and adults, though not many older folk (most die in combat). Most Fussbagian men become soldiers or merchants. Women are usually married by the age of 20 and, in addition to raising children, often take managerial positions or take up gardening.

I hope you don't mind but I'm going to use names with royal meanings as my titles. I've been thinking on writing a story using this method especially because I love Gaelic names. Hope it's not too confusing I'll worry about the titles anyway. :)

In the early 1100's two brothers (Flaithri and Ruaidhri Ó Dúbhshláine) with their families set sail from Ireland to find a new land where they could raise their children in peace and serve God. One dark stormy night on the high seas their ship was in peril and they were rescued by a French merchant vessel (Captained by young Mael Vetaruex) but by morning the two boats had been wrecked on the rocky shores of an island. After a search of the island revealed it to be uninhabited and to have good soil for planting the Irish families decided to stay and the young sea captain, who had fallen in love with Ruaidhri's oldest daughter Rioghnoch, eventually joined the family by marrying into it. The families took to farming at first but soon were on to greater things building themselves castles and churches and Mael's brother Armel joined them on the island.
In generations to come the inhabitants named their new land Marbois and many of the place names are French such as the capital city which is names Paix (peace in French) where as the titles of the rulers are Irish Gaelic names. The first king was Mael and Rioghnoch's great grandson Hugh I who created the titles for their line using names from both families but mostly Irish names. Marbois has been mostly peaceful with few troubles within the family most of their wars have been from others attacking them but they are such a strong force that happens rarely. The year is now about 1460 and Marbois has it's 12th Ruaidhri-Mael, Hugh XII.

Geographically, Arcelia has lovely mountains and cliffs as well as meadows and forests (of which are mostly decidious in nature). The country is surrounded by water on most sides. Arcelia experiences winters, with lots of snow but rarely quite cold temperatures. The summer temperatures are never hot and hover in the 70 degree range.
Arcelia is known for its literature, music, and art. The country is sutained on exports of those products, along with the export of fragrance and florals. Arcelia is also well known for its architecture and many of its famous architects are commissioned for works in other countries.

At that time, goat capture is allowed, and citizens may capture as many goats as they like to milk before sending them back to the wild. For about a month every year, goat milk is our main export. We are fairly peaceful, with only a few border skirmishes here and there, though my advisors would like me to consider trying to expand Kvoran's territory.
