If you were voting for a US president based on the names of their children...
which is not a strategy I endorse, for whom would you vote?*Note - I do not have complete information for a lot of these - if you know more please tell me!
**Also excluding 3rd partiesDemocrats:
Joseph Robinette Biden - Joseph Robinette "Beau," Robert Hunter, Naomi
Hilary Diane Rodham Clinton - Chelsea Victoria (repetitive meaning!)
Christopher John Dodd - Grace, Christina
Johnny Reid Edwards - Lucius Wade "Wade," Catharine Elizabeth "Cate," Emma Claire, Jack
Maurice Robert "Mike" Gravel - Martin Anthony, Lynne Denise
Dennis John Kucinich - Jackie (f)
Barack Hussein Obama - Malia Ann, Natasha "Sasha"
William Blaine "Bill" Richardson - no children (a good "none of the above" option)Republicans:
Rudolph William Louis "Rudy" Giuliani - Andrew Harold, Caroline
Michael Dale "Mike" Huckabee - John Mark (double FN), David, Sarah
Duncan Lee Hunter - Duncan Duane, Samuel
John Sidney McCain - Andrew (adopted), Douglas (adopted), Sidney (f), Meghan, John Sidney "Jack," James, Bridget (adopted)

Huckabee!

Christopher Dodd - they're lovely and classic but also snaps to Edwards and Obama

Aargh hard!Johnny Reid Edwards, Barack Hussein Obama or John Sidney McCain ?? I can't pick between them. And I saw the same thing as Cora..oh, Elizabeth on a boy would have been horrible!

Why would Natasha be called Sasha? Stupid, imo. I like Malia though.Chelsea - I can't believe a couple as educated as the Clintons chose Chelsea for their daughter. I just think it's silly sounding - all the Chelseas I have met have been brainless. Hmm.Edwards' children's names are terminally boring, save Lucius Wade. Cate, Emma and Jack? *Yawn*And not McCain - Meghan is a stupid spelling.Interesting that John Edwards' name is actually Johnny. Presumably he thought Johnny was not a proper name for a politician, and I tend to agree with him. I wonder if the babies today given full names such as Evie, Ellie, Alfie and Millie might one day adopt "proper" names. So I'd probably go with Christopher John Dodd; I like Grace and Christina.

It was after Chelsea Morning...a song by Joni Mitchell. I can see it then... but it is weird still, I agree.

John Edwards

Kucinich (daughter Jackie). It's really the only one I completely like. Oddly enough!Of the Repubs, if I had to choose one it'd be Giuliani ... but I'd sooner slit my wrists than vote for him... lol

Duncan Lee Hunter or John Edwards. :b
vote up1
John Edwards, mostly because I love Lucius. The other names are wonderful too, though.
vote up1
I like:
Chelsea Victoria
...and I was going to add something to that but I really don't like any of them. So I'm all for Hillary.Whoa actually I'm super confused by the parties. Weren't Hillary and Obama running against each other? (excuse my ignorance of American politics)

The father of Malia and Natasha "Sasha". (The dashing Obama.) :D
vote up1
John Edwards! With nods toChris Dodd's names, as Grace is lovely and I like the use of Christina to honour AND
Mitt Romney, because I adore Taggart (even if I won't use it).
vote up1
Definitely Rudy! i love Andrew and Caroline together!

The father of Wade, Cate, Emma Claire and Jack =D

Only choosing one from each party (which is hard!).Democrats:
Joseph Robinette Biden - Joseph Robinette "Beau," Robert Hunter, NaomiRepublicans:
John Sidney McCain - Andrew (adopted), Douglas (adopted), Sidney (f), Meghan, John Sidney "Jack," James, Bridget (adopted)

Democratic (which is what I would actually vote): DoddRepublican (just for fun): Huckabee or Giuliani.

I like Chelsea Victoria. So I pick Hillary (I like the name Hillary too). honorable mention to Barack for Natasha and to John Edwards for Lucius.I have a soft spot for double first names so I give kudos to Huckabee for the very handsome John Mark.

I think I'd go with Obama. From the Repubs I like Giuliani's children's names best.

McCain also has a daughter named Meghan, who runs McCainBloggette.com, a really cool site, not what's you'd expect from the daughter of a presidential candidate. McCain's son Jack is John Sidney McCain IV.
vote up1
Oh oops!I was reading about Meghan, I guess I just forgot to include her. Thanks! There are several numeral'd candidate sons that I did not include the numerals for because I didn't include the first few.

John Edwards, no contest. My favorite among the Republicans are Giuliani's Andrew and Caroline.

Definitley John Edwards for me. I'm sad, though, that Lucius goes by Wade :-(Aside from that, I also like Obama's kids names (esp. the nn Sasha for Natasha - cute!) and I like John McCain's the best of the Republican party (though I don't really like that son Jack has middle name Sidney, which is his sister's first name. Even if it is a family name. On another note - I know I'm totally wrong for thinking this, but I am actually finding Taggart "Tag" kind of cool. Particularly the Tag part. Tag is hot :-)

Edwards, perhaps due in part to the fact that one of his daughters has my same name with a slight spelling variation. Plus, both Lucius and Wade are gutsy, and even more so in a combo. =)

Nearly had a heart attack...What you wrote:
Fred Dalton Thompson - Freddie Dalton "Tony," Elizabeth "Betsy," [son], Hayden (f), SamuelWhat I saw:
Fred Dalton Thompson - Freddie Dalton "Tony," Elizabeth "Betsy" [son], Hayden (f), Samueland I almost screamed. I'm okay now, though. Whew... Remind me to read more slowly next time and pay attention to commas.Anyway, in answer to your question, I would vote for (and I can't believe the words coming out of me mouth) John Edwards.
