vote up1
Ariella Jasmine or Jude HamiltonI'd consider adding a second middle name to honor family, and in that case: Ariella Maria Elisabeth or Jude Hamilton Luis (Maria for my grandmother and Luis for my grandfather).

vote up1
Eamonn is very nice!
vote up1
Currently, my two favorite combos are...Charlotte Amelie Skye "Charlie"andBenjamin Mackenzie Scott "Ben"

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 2:08 PM

vote up1
Charlotte Amelie Skye "Charlie" - Pretty, I prefer Charli though
Benjamin Mackenzie Scott "Ben" - ooo .... I love this combo! Mackenzie for a boy is so handsome!
vote up1
I don't really like Charli that much. It just looks too short. Charlie is more aesthetically pleasing to me.And yes, I agre. Mackenzie on a boy is handsome (pun intended?). I was so happy that I managed to fit it into one of my favorite combos. Doubly happy because it solved my Alexander dilemma: I had two separate combos, Benjamin Alexander Scott and Milo Caspian Alexander. I loved both of them, and wanted to keep both Benjamin and Milo. But I couldn't figure out a name to substitute in one of them. Then I realized that Mackenzie would work, which allowed me to use my favorite boy's name AND keep both combos.
vote up1
I love Amelie Skye (but prefer Skye Amelia or Amelia Skye a little better)
vote up1
At the moment, Joel Gideon and Carys Blythef
vote up1
Sorry to say, I'm a tad disappointed. Carys seems like it's on everyone's list lately, and Blythe is so lukewarm to me. It sounds good, but it just doesn't move me. I like Joel Gideon, though I'd prefer Noel. :)
vote up1
Carys Blythe is very pretty, and the meaning is great! I'm not crazy about Joel Gideon, but it's nice.
vote up1
Evening Rae or Ptolemy Ray, I would think. To be called either Evey or Ptolly.Array

I love Raphael Christian.Avila Wren is cute. I think I'd like Aviva Wren better for some reason.
vote up1
Brett Elizabeth or Boris Koloman.I've liked Brett lately, for whatever reason. Elizabeth is my number one favorite so I'd hate to not use it at all, and it's a nice obviously feminine balance for the ambiguous Brett. Or Roberta Elizabeth, if I get to cheat. ;-)And Boris is just a long-standing favorite that's taking its turn as the theoretical forerunner. :-P Especially if this mysterous last minute baby is mine and mine alone to name! If little Boris took issue with his name and wanted a nickname I'd encourage Kolo, which I love (but I can't find a satisfactory middle for Koloman, so it's more or less not moving from the middle point).

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 10:40 AM

vote up1
I like Brett Elizabeth. It's very Hemingway, sleek and sophisticated.I stumble over Boris Koloman and almost say Boris Karloff. Boris is not really my style, but I think I'd like it more if it was not combined with a K middle name.
vote up1
BorisBoris isn't really my style, either, but it's just one of those names I can't shake. :-) Koloman is actually the only name I like with it that I've come up with so far--it's a tough one to pair something with for me. Things either sound really mismatched or over-the-top stereotypically Slavic, know what I mean?Would you buy Boris Emil, aesthetics of Boris aside?
vote up1
I like it! Boris Emil gets a thumbs up from me.
vote up1
Good. :-)I'm starting to like it the more that I look at it. That's good news for me; Boris is a hard one to put in a combo.
vote up1
I love Evelyn
vote up1
I love Patrick Llewelyn. :)
vote up1
Noah Maximilian Romeo or Poppy Tallulah Evelia
vote up1
Too difficult!!!Rose Aveline Piper
Blake Auberon Gerald (Does Blake Augustus Gerald flow better?)Kept trying to figure out how to throw Osbert (new fave, totally weird for me) and Claudia in there. Never got the flow quite right.
vote up1
I love both of your names. I think Blake Augustus Gerald flows better, but I really like Auberon...
vote up1
I think I prefer the flow Blake Augustus Gerald. It's a handsome choice. :)
vote up1
I prefer Blake Auberon Gerald to Blake Augustus Gerald, I also like Aveline :)
vote up1
Today I'd use Milena Idony and Leo Claudius.
vote up1
Milena & Leo Claudius are great!
vote up1
I like the girls' a lot, and I like Leo but would prefer Claude! :)
vote up1
Milena and Leo are lovely!
vote up1
Wow! Milena Idony is gorgeous. I've never heard of either of those names. Leo Claudius is great too. (although I prefer Claudia on a girl)
vote up1
Freya Grace Elizabeth and Oscar Alfred Hugh.
vote up1
Freya & Hugh are great!
vote up1
Oscar Alfred HughIt has a classy, old-fashioned feel to it. It comes of as very handsome to me. I love it.
vote up1
Mine as of right now would be Adrian Reid (boy) and Raquel Veronica (girl).
vote up1
Raquel VeronicaI like this combination, it has a certain something to it.
vote up1
How pretty! I love both combos. It always thrills me to see Rose as a fn.
vote up1
I love both combos! Edmund George is very handsome.
vote up1
For a boy, Henry Grey. For a girl, I'm not sure, maybe Autumn Hope.:)Danielle
vote up1
I love Autumn
vote up1
Henry Grey is very nice!
vote up1
Mackenzie Harmon (b) and Antonie Olivia (f).In relation: I hade a dream last night and three siblings were named Anthony, Antony, and Antonie.
vote up1
Antoine Olivia is quite nice. I also like Mackenzie Antoine for a boy :)

Jasper Shannon (b) or Elsa Quinn (g)

Ooh, I like Elsa Quinn quite a bit.
vote up1
I almost put Emer Liadan as my girl's pick. I adore the name Emer. Emer Penelope is a lovely combination. Fionn David is a sparkler too.

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 12:23 PM

vote up1
Emer PenelopeI love the rhythm, sound, and meaning. Great job!
vote up1
Today, mine would be Heath Ulysses and Caitria Willow nn Cait. I've been reading Wuthering Heights again so both combos sort of honour two of my favourite characters.

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 8:36 AM

vote up1
I like Willow.
vote up1
I love Caitria, and I am really liking Heath Ulysses, so strong, but so whimisical.
vote up1
Anna Miriam & Scott Abraham
(followed closely by Clara Evelyn & Jude Gideon)
vote up1
Absolutely wonderful names! I can't decide which is my favorite.
vote up1
I really like Ashley Jacob Christophe. If I was going to use it, I would probably drop the Jacob though...
vote up1
I like Ruby and Jacob.
vote up1
Violet Eleanor (or Violet Lucia)
and
Oscar Henry (or Oscar William)I go back and forth on the middle names every second. I'd probably have to flip a coin if it was a real life scenario!
vote up1
Violet Eleanor is beautiful!
vote up1
Lydia Hesper
Henry Rupert
vote up1
Lydia & Henry Rupert are great!
vote up1
Henry Rupert is great, and I really like Lydia.
vote up1
Lydia is cute! I like Henry but only as a mn.
vote up1
Right now I like Eleanor Rain Lily "Ella"and Milo Johann Noah
I don't know why I used two middle names, I usually don't. Also, usually I use Ella as a nn for Arielle, but today I like Eleanor better.
vote up1
I love Lily (spelt Lilly) and Noah and like Ella.
vote up1
Eleanor Rain Lily is very pretty! Milo Johann is also very nice.
vote up1
Wow, I really love those! I normally don't like Eleanor, but it balances out Rain and Lily (which you could combine into Rainlily if you wanted to). I love Milo Johann, and Noah sound nice with that combo!
vote up1
Thanks! I was searching through the submitted names, and someone (I think it was Lillian?) had suggested Rainlily. I like it both spelled like that and spelled Rain Lily.
vote up1
For no particular reasonMaybe because it's cooler today.Winter Blackbird and Dexter Fox
vote up1
I really like Winter and Dexter.
vote up1
Dexter FoxI find this so quirky, lovable, and completely handsome.
vote up1
Aww, I love Winter Blackbird! Dexter Fox is awesome and I love the repeat Xs here. Dexter reminds me of the cartoon, Dexter's Lab, which is cool and I really like Fox as a mn.
vote up1
Ooh!Dexter Fox...love it! Love the repeated x's, and it doesn't hurt that Dexter is a fave and I find Fox acceptable as a mn since it's a surname and surnames as fns & mns are in frequent use. ;o)Winter Blackbird evokes a nice mental image, but it definitely falls into the category of "liking it on someone else's child."
vote up1
Ditto.Only I'm not keen on Dexter.
vote up1
OH I love Winter Blackbird! SOOOOO Much!
vote up1
As of right now...Oliver Zane and Autumn Corinne.
vote up1
Love Oliver. And ... I love love love the combination Autumn Corinne. I've never seen or heard it before, but it really is quite lovely.
vote up1
I love Autumn.
vote up1
Oliver Zane is very nice!
vote up1
I like Oliver and Corinne. They'd make a great sibset.
vote up1
I must say, as an autumn baby with the name Korrine, I heartily approve of Autumn Corinne!Oliver Zane is nice, too, but I'm really smitten with Autumn Corinne.
vote up1
I don't usually like Autumn, but that is very pretty! Oliver is one of my newest faves.
vote up1
I adore Oliver and Autumn!
vote up1
Mikael Remus Sebastian and Melina Aina Elenna.Funny, today I prefer three names over just two.
vote up1
Your combos are lovely. I like both of them. Sebastian is awesome, and I love Elenna.
vote up1
I like all your names individually, especially Sebastian & Aina...and I'm in a 3-name combo mood today, as well.
vote up1
This is purely fantasy on my part, as we (almost) have a combo picked out for our little Jelly Bean, and we probably won't be having any more children after her. Also, this is what I would name them, without any input from anyone else. ;o)Boy: Malcolm Eben Cornelius (Mac), or possibly Cornelius Malcolm Eben (Neil) Girl: Cordelia Margaret Genevieve (Delia or Delia-Mae), or possibly Margaret Cordelia Genevieve (Megan or Maret)
vote up1
So what's this "almost-picked out" combo, hmm?Just wondering. And your boy combo is so handsome sounding. What about Malcolm Cornelius Eben (Mac)? I think it flows better than the two you have. But I love the names themselves. The girl's combo is stunning (though I'm not surprised, as I've always loved your combos.) Both versions are beautiful. I love Delia as a NN. For the Margaret one, what about switching Cordelia and Genevieve? It seems to improve the flow.
vote up1
I like Malcolm Cornelius Eben, too. I think you just can't go wrong with those 3 names in any order!Ooh, Margaret Genevieve Cordelia is nice, also. Only problem is, I have a hard time prn -t Ge-, so it comes out sounding like Margareh Genevieve Cordelia. Yeah, ok, I'm super-picky!As for the "almost picked out" combo...I think the top 2 mn contenders are Elyse (I like it a lot, but not so much with Evangelynn) and Terese (DH seems to like it, but not as much as he likes Elyse). Thus, if we add Belrose as a 2nd mn, our choices come down to Evangelynn Elyse Belrose B. and Evangelynn Terese Belrose B. Of those, I'm not really fond of the E.E.B.B. initials (or E.B.E.B. for that matter). Plus, when it comes to nns (and I'm big on nns), there isn't a whole lot one can do with Elyse (Elly, Liese), but with Terese, at least there's Tess, Teri, Tera, & Reese (not that I'd actually use Reese as a nn, but it's an option).Meh, it'll all come out in the wash. :o)Edited for editing. :o)

This message was edited 11/8/2007, 4:57 AM

vote up1
Malcolm Eben Cornelius & Cornelius Malcolm Eben are so handsome!I don't care for Margaret, but Cordelia Genevieve is gorgeous! I wish you could convince DH to use Cordelia or Genevieve as the first name for your jelly bean.

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 12:44 PM

vote up1
Y'know, I never used to like Margaret, either, but I'd definitely grown on me. ;o)I wish I could convince him to use Cordelia, too! (I'd be really surprised if he went for Genevieve, since there's already a soft g in Evangelynn and he doesn't like repeated sounds like I do). I did give him Terese / Therese to chew on last night, and I didn't get an immediate "No." Just thoughtful silence. :o) I told him, "Mull over that one for a few days & then get back to me." He seems favorable, though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :o)
vote up1
Not sure on Eben, but otherwise love all of these combos. It doesn't hurt that the girl's combo has three of my favorite names it it.
vote up1
I like your taste, too. :)The girl's combo just sings, and while I don't care for Eben, Malcolm and Cornelius together is fabulous! And, ah, yes, to name without input from others... :D
vote up1
Cordelia Margaret Genevieve is very pretty. So long and flowing... love it!
vote up1
Right now I'm thinkin these...Cora Sholema LisetteAndrew DavidETA: Hyperlinks. :-)

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 7:15 AM

vote up1
Cora is very pretty, as is Lisette. Sholema is interesting, and could take some getting used to, but I definitely think it flows well in the combo you have.Andrew David is nice. But when put next to Cora Sholema Lisette, it seems kind of boring.
vote up1
Andrew David is a tad plain for my style, but your girls' name is very pretty. :)
vote up1
Sholema...I have no idea where it came from originally, but it was my Great-Great-Grandmother's name, and I think it is so gorgeous. Do any of you know where I might find out more about it?
vote up1
From what I can tell, it appears to be the feminine form of Sholem. I'm guessing (an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless) that Sholem is a variation of Shalom, meaning peace? Perhaps someone more knowledgable can either substatiate or refute my theory. :o)
vote up1
Yes.Sholem is the Yiddish version of Shalom. Sholem Aleichem is the pen-name of probably the most famous Yiddish author of all time.
vote up1
You meanthe man who wrote the story on which "Fiddler on the Roof," one of my favorite musicals of all time, is based? ;o)
vote up1
I like Sholema Lisette alot! I've never heard Sholema!Andrew David is nice too!
vote up1
What's Sholema's history/etymology? It has a lovely sound, and I'd love to learn more about it.
vote up1
Andrew David is very handsome.
vote up1
Parker Nathaniel and Brynn OliviaYes, it's true they are both trendy/surnamey/unisex names, but I love them. Please don't shun me, LOL.
vote up1
I won't shun you at all...Parker is on my GP list, and I've always loved Nathaniel. So that combo get a thumbs up from me.Brynn is very cute, and I'm glad to see Olivia as a MN. I don't mind trendy names as much when they are middle names.
vote up1
I quite like Parker Nathaniel actually.
vote up1
I really like Nathaniel and Brynn Olivia. I like Brynn Olive, too but it probably sounds too much like a name brand of canned olives to actually use. ;o)
vote up1
Today it would be:Claudia Rowan MercySimon Conall Merit
vote up1
I love the flow of the combos. Claudia is cool. I love Rowan on a girl, and Mercy is a newer one for me, but it's great. Simon is rising on my favorites list. I've loved Conall since I first heard it. Merit flows wonderfully with Simon Conall.
vote up1
Ooh, I love Claudia Rowan & Simon Conall : )
vote up1
I love your taste so much. ;o) Especially love the 2nd mn for each & how they relate w/o being overly themey. Personally, the only thing I'd do is change Simon to Simeon (since I prefer it).
vote up1
You really like that Merit person, don't you? *grin* Your combos are great!

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 7:19 AM

I love Claudia!
vote up1
I don't usually like Rowan on a girl, but Rowan Mercy is very nice.
vote up1
Hmmmm...Caspian Bjorn Orion and Winter Eowyn Eve

This message was edited 11/7/2007, 7:09 AM

vote up1
I really like Winter and Eve.
vote up1
Good stuff, especially Winterthough you might want to check the initials on that one . . .
vote up1
LOL!Yeah, I kind of noticed that one... Oh well, guess I need to find a new second middle name!
vote up1
Wow, those are awesome...Caspian is one of my favorites (my 5th favorite boys combo is Milo Caspian Alexander). Bjorn is interesting (and seems to fit what I've seen of your combos). And Orion is quickly rising on my GP list.Winter Eowyn Eve just has this amazing aesthetic feel to it. I love how it is so soft sounding. Winter is on my girl's GP list. Eowyn sounds amazing and I love the meaning and the literary connection (though I haven't actually read Lord of the Rings) Eve just fits in the combo.
vote up1
Very nice!
vote up1
Love them! Winter Eowyn Eve is breathtakingly beautiful and Caspian Bjorn Orion is so handsome.I think they'd make an awesome sibset =)
vote up1
Nice...I'm not normally a fan of Caspian, but I love it in this combo! And Winter Eowyn Eve is gorgeous.
vote up1
WowI like the idea of Winter Eowyn. The Lady of White in winter. Fantastic, Jessica!
vote up1
Audrey Gwyneth is lovely!
vote up1
Clement is interesting. I like how it sounds. The girl's combo is lovely. Audrey is neat, and I have a soft spot for Welsh names.
vote up1
Very nice!
vote up1
Love your names, especially Audrey Gwyneth.
vote up1
I adore Clement (although I think I have a softer spot for Clemence) and Gwyneth.
vote up1
Those are lovely and sophisticated names. I like the gentleness of Clement.
